The Story
This image is from a recent road trip, East to West across America. One morning we woke up at dawn to watch the sunrise at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes of Death Valley. When we first arrived, the scene was filled with soft pinks and dusty pastel colours, the dunes appeared smooth and flat. But as the sun rose, strong vibrant light revealed the patterns and textures in the sand and threw into dramatic light and shade the shape of the dunes.
